Reaching for the stars
Stargirls STEM Camp ran from the 23rd to 25th January, where female and non-binary high school students can be inspired by industry leading women scientists working in astronomy, engineering, and data sciences. Dr Karen Lee-Waddell, Director of the AusSRC, is one such frontrunner of the astronomy and data sciences in Australia.

AusSRC hosts key stakeholders event
Off the back of the SKA Construction Commencement Ceremony in early December, the AusSRC hosted a Key Stakeholders Event. Held in the fancy new interactive space at the Pawsey Supercomputing Research Centre, the event was attended by around 30 guests from local, interstate, and overseas.

AusSRC Design Study Program Concludes
A final report that provides an overview of the AusSRC DSP along with a summary of the technical developments achieved by the team while working on various science projects can be found here.

AusSRC makes marble-ous networks at Astrofest 2022
In October, AusSRC held its first ever Perth Astrofest stall, with an activity showing how data will flow from the SKA-Low in the Murchison to other SRCs around the world – in the form of a marble race!

Lightning fast: Birli in action
Birli is the Wajarri word for ‘lightning’, a common cause of outages on the MWA site. Birli is the next generation MWA pre-processing pipeline which is now feature complete.
