Charles Weiss is a Senior Software Engineer at AusSRC with a PhD in Experimental Physics from The University of Western Australia.

Following his doctoral research in spintronics and magnetisation dynamics, Charles transitioned into software engineering, where he has spent over four years developing scalable backend APIs, high-throughput distribution systems, and centralised internal platforms.

His experience spans .NET, C#, Python, SQL Server, authentication systems, and CI/CD automation. 

Drawing on a strong foundation in analytical modelling and data processing from his research career, Charles is passionate about leveraging software to solve technically complex problems and improve system performance and reliability
