Fatemeh Moghaddam joins AusSRC as Senior Software Engineer

Fatemeh brings over 15 years of experience developing scientific applications, research systems and high-performance computing (HPC) platforms.

Prior to this, Fatemeh worked at CSIRO’s Science Data Processing and Archive team for ASKAP, where she designed and implemented end-to-end monitoring and workflow solutions across the Central Processor ecosystem.

Her work focused on integrating HPC and workflow data, such as Slurm job metrics and real-time monitoring systems into scalable, reliable pipelines that improve system observability and performance.

Fatemeh has strong expertise in Python, Django, containerised deployments, and distributed systems, and has contributed to optimising workflow performance, testing frameworks, and multi-environment configurations.

Fatemeh holds a Master of Philosophy in Surveying and Mapping from Curtin University, where her research explored navigation in GPS-denied environments. She is passionate about building robust systems that enable researchers to efficiently process complex data and is excited to support the infrastructure behind next generation radio astronomy at the AusSRC
