Dr Gordon German, Head of Software Development
Gordon is a computer scientist who has a 20 year history in software development for geosciences and astronomy.
Gordon is based at CSIRO and heads the software development team at AusSRC. He helps drive our contributions to the global SRCNet, as well as supporting software development for national radio astronomy projects, working with large data and high performance computing.
He was the AusSRC technical lead for the ASKAP FLASH (First Large Absorption Survey in HI) and pioneered our hybrid compute approach used for the data-reduction pipelines developed at AusSRC.
Gordon has previous experience at CSIRO with earth simulations, AI pattern recognition and GIS.
