We’re excited to support PitchUp, an Australian SportsTech connecting athletes of all abilities with fit-for-purpose facilities to leverage high-performance computing (HPC) to tackle a critical access challenge in community sport.

PitchUp’s project will use large-scale geospatial, demographic, and satellite data to identify sporting facilities and uncover unmet demand for affordable spaces to play and train. The outcome will be an interactive national sports facility map to support more informed, data-driven decisions about where sports teams and local communities can access sports infrastructure and create more opportunities to participate.

This project highlights the power of HPC to drive innovation beyond astronomy, unlocking new insights that can deliver meaningful social and economic impact.

Through the ARIA Program, AusSRC aims to provide Australian SMEs with access to HPC resources, enabling innovation in products and services aligned with key technical priorities.

AusSRC and the ARIA Program are funded by the Australian Government. We are proud to support Australian SMEs and start-ups applying advanced computing to real-world challenges.
