Work closely with an international team of software developers and scientists working on the Cube Analysis and Rendering Tool for Astronomy (CARTA) to enable high-impact science using data coming from the SKA and its precursor telescopes.
- Develop and enhance CARTA software by writing C++ backend code
- Improve deployment on large-scale infrastructure and implement additional time-domain features and Virtual Observatory functionality
- Support the AusSRC ecosystem, contributing to the development of SKA science data archive, user services and community engagement events
- Liaise with scientists and science projects to translate science objectives into AusSRC and SRCNet system and software requirements
