Come find us at Astrofest 2023!
We get the data flowing: the SKA Regional Centre Network, as depicted as an interactive marble race at the AusSRC Astrofest 2022 stall.
The AusSRC will once again be part of Australia’s largest free astronomy festival, Astrofest, this month.
Join us at Curtin Stadium on 18th November 2023 for a fantastic family friendly night of learning about the night sky and our place in the universe.
We will be combining forces with the CSIRO Space & Astronomy and SKAO teams for “The SKA Project in Australia” stall – your one stop shop to learn all about Australia’s role in the global SKA project. The mega stall will be near the main stage, so come say hi and take part in the numerous interactive activities we have on offer.
We will also have AusSRC staff taking part in panels, such as what it is like to work in radio astronomy.
Astrofest will also feature:
- telescopes
- talks
- sky photos
- sci-fi costumes
- family friendly activities
- food trucks
Astrofest is from 5:30pm to 9:30pm on Saturday, 18th November 2023.
